DATE: Georgian, c.1780
We absolutely would never advise getting foiled settings wet... however... if it does happen the results can be quite spectacular. This 18th century pendant features a large faceted rock crystal over water damaged foil, creating an intricate - and quite beautiful - abstract effect. The silver domed back setting features a barley corn engraving around the sides and a dedication to H. G. Jay. Dating from the Georgian period, circa 1780.
